Text Filters allow the information retrieval and search engines of
SSScanner™,
SSSpider™,
SSSiter & E-Mail Extractor™,
SSSleuth™, and
SSPad™
to extract and index textual contents from different sorts of files.

To install a filter, extract the downloaded ZIP file into the Filters
subfolder of the product root folder. After it, re-start the product.
In SSScanner™, select the Text Filters frame and make sure
that the new filter is marked as Active; in SSSleuth™, add the
path to the new filter in the file "KryloffFilters.txt"
Note: KT Text Filters for MS Office files® function only under
MS Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and later versions.

Important: Text Filters are provided as free components for
Kryloff products only.
In order to use them in your own software applications, you must
obtain a corresponding license.
Apart from the right to use our filters in and distribute them along with
your software products world-wide on the royalty-free basis, upon purchase a license
you will be provided with full documentation, sample code in C++, C#, Delphi for Win32
and .NET, Visual Basic for Windows and for .NET demonstrating the use of our filters.
Also, you will be enrolled into our technical support which, in particular, includes
possible bug fixes. If you have not yet obtained a license from us, you may not use
and distribute any of the filters nor you may count on our technical support.

Download the GetText utility along with all KT Text Filters (534 KB)
GetText is a free file-to-text conversion command-line utility
which extracts textual contents from files of multiple formats.
To perform text extraction, GetText uses KT Text Filters
(read more about Text Filters).
Kryloff Technologies, Inc. supplies this utility with the following filters:
- Htm2Txt.dll which converts HTM and HTML files into TXT files;
- Rtf2Txt.dll for RTF conversion (Rich Text Format files);
- Pdf2Txt.dll for PDF conversion (Adobe Portable Document Format files);
- Wpd2Txt.dll for WPD conversion (Word Perfect files).
- Hlp2Txt.dll which converts MS Help (.HLP) files into TXT files;
- DocDll.dll for DOC conversion (MS Word files); the filter is designed to function under MS Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and later;
- XLSDll.dll for XLS conversion (MS Excel files); functions under MS Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and later;
- PPTDll.dll for PPT conversion (MS Power Point files); functions under MS Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and later;
- Uncd2Txt.dll to extract plain text from UNICODE files.
- XMLDll.dll to extract plain text from or convert XML file contents into an appropriate code page.
