Right after the original installation, SSSpider™ will be
contacting a limited number of general-purpose search engines during the query
execution. Despite this fact, the product provides you with the unique
capability to create your own search categories by adding new search engines
and combining them into perfectly targeted search sets.
You may add to SSSpider™ any or all of the engines that are mentioned
below, and even more. Adding new engines (especially those which
specialize in the area of your interest such as, medicine, politics, software,
music, sports, etc.) may considerably increase the search quality of
SSSpider™ reports.
Look through the following table and select an engine you would like SSSpider™
to communicate with when processing your queries. After it, click the application Search
Engines pane using the right mouse button and select "New": the SSSpider Search
Engine Wizard™ will appear. Enter into the Wizard screen the title and
address (URL) of the engine you have chosen, then follow
instructions of the Wizard to include your engine in SSSpider™.
When you exit from the Wizard, do not forget to "drop" your engine
onto an existing or a newly created Search Set.

Useful hint: You may easily find Web engines which support searches in your native language
by issuing something like "French-speaking Web search engines"
with SSSpider™ (or, "Russian- or German- speaking", etc.). In a
couple of minutes the product will bring in front of your eyes a list of
engine URL's, which you may add to the product Registry using our
intelligent SSSpider Wizard™. Just as an example, you may
follow
this link to see a collection of European-speaking engines, which you
may use to make SSSpider™ provide the best possible search results none of
these engines can when it works alone (as you know, SSSpider™ collects, checks,
and re-scans each of the pages suggested by engines). |
Kryloff Technologies invites all users of SSSpider™ 4.0 and later versions to
send us your messages providing new search engines
that are not yet mentioned in the above table (scroll this window to see the
list of Search Engines that are recommended for inclusion into SSSpider™).
3.1. Everyone who supplies Kryloff Technologies with at least 6 (six)
SSSpider™-compatible search engines plus one more engine which is not fully
SSSpider™-compatible, and which domains are not yet mentioned on this page,
will be given the possibility to
purchase SSSpider™ at the 50% discount.
3.2. All those who provide us with at least 12 (twelve) new SSSpider™-compatible
search engines plus one more engine, which is not yet fully
SSSpider™-compatible, will be
granted a Registered version of SSSpider™ 4.0 free of charge.
Please, do not send us URL's of meta-engines or those
ones which search on a particular Web site only and which are not
interesting to the rest of SSSpider™ users unless these engines perform
searches in huge enough databases such as, shareware/freeware software sites,
news archives, etc.
Kryloff Technologies reserves the right to reject some or any of the engines
you suggest with or without any explanation. Web sites and engines, which
perform searches in adult content or/and other information that may be
offensive for the rest of SSSpider™ users, will not be considered.
The subject of messages in which you list additional search engines,
should begin from the word "SSSpider". Upon our reception
and approval, all those who have suggested 6 new engines, will be provided
with a location, from which they may purchase a registered version of SSSpider
at the 50% discount. Those who supply us with at least 12 new search
engines, will receive from us a message containing a Personal Product ID
string and a location, from which they can obtain the Registered version of
SSSpider™, free of charge. Do not hesitate to provide us with URL's of
your local search engines, which search in languages other than English:
as you and other people from your country start using SSSpider™ with
these engines, this will be only beneficial both for KT and the rest of
SSSpider™ users. Please, do not expect us to answer your message the
same day: allow some time to process it.
Users who have purchased SSSpider™ at a discount as well as all
those who have suggested additional search engines and received SSSpider™ free
of charge, will be enrolled into our technical support, subscription service,
and will have the right to purchase future versions of the product at
discount prices along with those who have purchased SSSpider™
at the full price.
